Published by Colijn the same year in French and in Dutch. Herrera's work first published Madrid, 1601, in Spanish. It was intended as part of his Historia general de los hechos de los Castellanos en las islas y tierrafirme del mar oceano. The 14 maps that illustrate it were copied from the Madrid ed., while the 3 maps and in-text ill. for Le Maire are taken from De Bry. See Sabin
